John Gillenwater of Bonaire Aviation states, "We’ve worked hard over the last 7 years to develop a substantial line of upgrade STC’s for Cessna aircraft.  We more than accomplished our original goals.  I think Davis will be pleased with a well established line of upgrades with  excellent distribution means."  Gillenwater is planning to pursue other business interests outside the aviation industry upon Bonaire’s closure. Bonaire will continue until February 1, 1999 in order to notify previous customers of the new owners and finalize other loose ends.  For a short period of time, the Bonaire telephone and fax numbers will remain available for any service questions.

Bob and Florence Davis are the owners of Davis Aviation Services Inc. and Bob Davis Flying Service located in Virden Illinois.  After being a Bonaire distributor for the Cessna 188 upgrades, they purchased the Bonaire STC’s for the Cessna 188 about a year ago.  The ownership of this STC sparked an interest for the other Cessna aircraft.  The Davis’ come to the aviation industry as an STC holder with more than 20 years experience in aviation. As an excellent member of the Bonaire team in the "Service after the Sale" support in the past, they will continue to carry on with this philosophy under their  ownership of these STC’s.  Mr. Davis is quoted as saying, "I was really pleased with the outcome and we are looking forward to this new venture. I’ve watched Bonaire develop over the years. They have done an excellent job with a variety of upgrades and establishing their sales and service methods.  This is a real opportunity for us."
