Reid-Hillview Airport

Noise Abatement and Traffic Pattern Information

Our community airport is surrounded by residential and recreational areas. As pilots we have an obligation to fly safely and with as little noise impact on our neighbors as possible.

Please fly the Quiet One Departure to reduce disturbances to the local schools. Our good neighbors & students will appreciate your cooperation with this procedure.

Extremely noise sensitive area

Safety always supersedes noise abatement procedures!

Quiet One Departure

For aircraft departing Runway 31 RIGHT-- after crossing the airport boundary at Ocala Avenue, make a 20¡ right turn to a heading of 330¡ (approximately a seven second standard rate turn).

IFR Departures

Please give consideration to your noise impact. Climb to 500 feet before making any turns. High performance aircraft please use low noise settings.

Arrivals

Aircraft approaching from the north and northwest (Sterling Suites and Calaveras Reservoir), watch out for outbound aircraft turning right for noise abatement and to avoid the San Jose ARSA.

Please comply with these procedures unless deviations are necessary due to weather, air traffic control instructions, inflight emergency, or other safety considerations.
