The Spacedome Theater features a 67-foot domed screen, creating a "you are there" experience. The heart of the Spacedome is a 70-millimeter projection system.
Visitors have a choice of three OMNIMAX¿ films:
"Blue Planet" is one of the latest movies to be filmed in outer space by astronauts. The "space film....about Earth" offers a view of forces that affect our planet from within and without: volcanoes, earthquakes, typhoons and humankind.
"The Dream is Alive" presents an up-close look at space shuttle astronauts preparing for a flight and at life aboard the shuttle. Veteran astronauts have called this film "the next best thing to being there."
"Destiny in Space" (Coming March 1995) features unique exterior views of the Space Shuttle, the heroic Hubble Space Telescope servicing mission and thrilling, computer imaging sequences that soar viewers over the rugged and colorful contours of Mars and Venus.
Films are shown daily. Visitors should consult with the ticket desk in the main lobby for exact show times.
