ANNUAL AWARDS

It is time, once again, to be thinking about who you would like to see nominated for state, regional and national recognition for a job well done. Once you have thought about it, the next step is to actually nominate someone. This requires a little effort on your part, like going to your nearest FSDO, FBO, Flying Club, etc. and getting the application. Then, you need to fill in the application and mail it in to the Arizona FSDO @ Scottsdale for processing.

The awards I’m referring to are:

  • CFI of the year
  • AMT (Mechanic) of the year
  • Safety Counselor of the year
  • Charles Taylor Award (50 years in aviation maintenance)
  • Communications of the year (Individual or facility)

Arizona has a proud history of regularly earning Regional and National recognition for its positive influence on aviation. I’m sure that you know someone in one or all of the above categories that has gone above and beyond the call of duty in their respective field and truly helped the industry. If so, please take the time and effort to help them gain the recognition they deserve. The winner in each category will be given their awards at the Awards Banquet on January 23, 1999.

The address of the AZ FSDO @ Scottsdale is:

15041 N. Airport Drive
Scottsdale, AZ 85260

Thanks again for your support and participation in this worthwhile program and, by the way, the deadline for application is December 31, 1998.
