Each person who endeavors to fly aircraft, should seriously give consideration to just how good of a pilot they are. Of necessity, ego plays an important part in how a pilot reacts to any situation. Having too little ego could make a pilot timid when bold, definitive action is necessary. Having too much could cause a pilot to delay action beyond the point of no return. In any case having the FAA sort out the situation after the fact is never the best way to work out aviation problems.
Most of us are not endowed with the ability to look objectively at our own skills. In view of this fact we along with some excellent talent in the industry have developed a new program called "Making your own rules. Developing your personal minimums checklist." This program is designed to help you set limits for your personal flying. It is designed to bypass ego and help you make decisions before it becomes a critical matter. The full extent of the program is too broad to go into in the limited space of this newsletter, however participation of the pilots attending the presentation is imperative. With John and Martha King appearing on the video, and with the cooperation of the presenter and the audience, great strides with be made in Aviation I'm sure.
If you don't believe me, I dare you to come to one of these meetings and find out for yourself!
